OK before u say yaar another Bhoot review..give me a chance..na... :(
~~~~~~~~
So, I finally got to watch the much hyped, talked about movie.
Firstly, I have read many reviews on this movie..here…so I m sure my review won’t be any difference…but let me try to make this a little entertaining!
So..Lets see :::
Meet the newly married couple whose life will soon become hell from heaven.
Vishal (Proving that men are idiots)
Agrees to move in an apartment where the last resident had committed suicide or murdered.
Swati (Wify) unknown about the incident at the apartment…falls in love with it.
(Yeh sard). They enjoy the honeymoon Kinda early days of the marriage.
Enter the way toooo happy maid (Seema Biswas). {I would have seriously made that bhai work harder just to wipe that creepy smile of her face}
Anyways….Swati starts to feel as if somebody is in the apartment with her. (Bhoot Yaha Koi)….Suddenly, she sees a reflection of a young women. <Gasp>
Movin on….weird yet scary (thank god to the sound effect director)
things happen…Suddenly, Swati acts out horrendous acts..like killing the watchmen.
Vishal is convinced that his wife is suffering from something psychosomatic.
Enter Psychiatrist (Victor Banerjee) who is actually saying his last goodbyes to his daughter who is sick.
Meanwhile, (Ram Gopal Verma comes up with the idea of adding “Exorcist” theme)
Bhoot of Manjeet enters Swati’s Body ..and take control of her….meaning she acts out and tries to kill anybody who comes close to her. Then she is tied to the bed.
Bai says Ki Bhoot hai yaha – so he goes to Rekha ( who actually looks like a bhoot to me)
Eureka – Rekha finds out that the bhoot of Manjeet is inside of her – enter Tanuja (Manjeet’s mom) to comfort the bhoot.
Blah Blah! Movin on…..Secret of why Manjeet still haunts the apartment is that Mr. Fardeen Khan (one scene appearance) made her fall from the balcony. So she is back to get her revenge….end…everything is ok..Manjeet Leave…after killing him.
Bhoots of the movie
Basically all the actors have one or two scenes but Seema Biswas excels in her role of a bai ( she is good she act out each character in every single movie so real)
Rekha (already hate her…so this doesn’t make any difference)
Victor Banerjee ( is alright – don’t know whats the big deal about this guy)
Nana Patekar ( is kinda funny in his role of a police officer)
Tanuja (really didn’t need to be in this movie – but she is ok too)
Ajay Devgan ( acts nicely in the role of a troubled and confused husband)
This movie is clearly stolen by Urmila( Giver her a damn award!!!!)
She is excellent in the role of a nice wife, scared person, then to a tortured women by the strange things around her and then to a ghost.
Gruesome Music
There is no particular song in the movie there is just background score. But the cd has 9 songs…and from that I really like Bhoot Hoon Main, Yeh Sard, Bhoot Hai Yaha Koi, Din Hai Na Yeh Raat
Now about the movie, Its really not scary – as in seeing flying heads or blood dripping from roof…its nothing like that..what makes this movie scary (or scared me) was its sound effects….you just jump when u hear a loud bell ring…God bless the Sound effect director (def…deserves an award)
Ok now don’t laugh at me…but I did get scared…cause of the background music and urmila’s make up..(hehe)
So I must say that the movie is not that great as everybody in Bollywood or ms.com has made it out to be…its an average horror flick…
Must by the Music Cd (its good!!)
QUICKIE
Good Music
Urmila Rocks!
Ajay Devgan..nice goatee
Great sound effects
Look of the film is good
“I m sure that the my review wasn’t all that great…compared to the others here…sorry…what can I say?”
Urs Truly,
Bhumi
“Koshish”
“That’s a muhavara – my mom said after watching the movie thought I would make it my title”
