''Bhoot '' ideas copied from ''Manichitra tazhau''

Ram Gopal Varma has a message in the beginning of his movie “Bhoot” saying that this movie is made purely to make audience scare – He succeeds in that to certain extend. But the movie has many ideas and scenes copied from some other movies in recent past

The Cast

Urmila steals the show in excellent author backed role, she has the right expressions and never crosses the limit.

Ajay Devgan does his role with much maturity a totally different dimension when compared to his role in “Company”

Nana has came back with a bang as Inspector Quereshi his mannerisms are worth mentioning

Fardeen Khan, Tanuja and other cast are equally supportive

Rekha worth special mention and has the right expressions throughout

The Technical Crew

The honor goes to the People behind the Background Score and Sound recording. Mr. Warrier the Sound specialist had given full effort in creating sound effects, which is main highlight of the movie.

Cinematography and tight editing also makes the film technically excellent.

The Director

RGV does every film with a difference, this time too he succeeds in his mission. The story – screenplay although claimed to be original has many scenes which remind you of RGV’s “Kaun” and M Night shyamalan’s “Sixth Sense”

In fact the incidents & scenes like

The dual/split personality.

The couple coming to live in a place where the “bhoot” stays.

Observing the “bhoot” by bringing people whom she likes, dislikes. are clearly copied from Malayalam Movie “Manichitra Tazhu”. Directed by Fazil.

But RGV had given small changes in these scenes to look authentic.

Overall

Bhoot is strictly for those die hard fans horror Films. It scares you several times with excellent sound effects.

Recommended to those who have not seen ’’Manichitra Tazhu’’
