Though I am not an ardent hindi movie fan, I went along to see Bhoot, hoping for some good performances by the star cast.
I thought it was a forcible attempt by the director to make it look scary. Really good horror movies punch you with their sudden moments, but in this movie the director tries to scare you with haunting music even in normal scenes which do not involve the BHOOT in any form. After a point of time, the audience in the theatre was just giggling and laughing.
The scene where the ghost first appears was chilling and quite good. but the movie goes downhill from there onwards.
The movie seems to be a hotch potch copy of a combination of many english movies ranging from What lies beneath to Exorcist.
The acting performances by Ajay Devgan and Urmila was very good. Though the film didnt do any justice to the talents of Rekha, Tanuja and Fardeen. They hardly had any role to play in the movie.
I guess the good part of the movie was that atleast we didnt have any of those ramsey characters booing at you.
