Hi guys and gals!!
I went to see this movie just for the sake of satisfying myself that I can sit through a scary ghost movie and the best bet would be a bollywood ghost movie is what my friends said. But tell u the truth this movie is the best in Hindi cinema atleast considering the way it has been picturised and directed.I think Hats off to Ramu wouldnt be wrong for this movie..
The movie revolves round a simple plot of two young couples modern and rationally thinking who move into a house where already someone has commited suicide. This theme eventhough not new in Cinema does entice you with the feeling that you are on your way to watch a ramsay movie where You could see the ghost woman in some white sari and stuff. But here is where Ramu differs. The entry of the ghost and the intial stages of Urmilas encounter with the Ghost is enough to make you feel like someone lost in some haunted place..
The way the ghost is introduced into the story and the way it haunts Urmila is so interestingly and beautifully shown that it is commendable. The way the story is then taken forward with Urmila s uffering from hallucinations and the sudden murder that h appens is worth a watch..
Of the characters the best is no doubt Urmila who it seems has given the best performance of her career. This is where I think Ramu has excelled in this movie.Ajay Devgan with his expressing eyes is able to catch your attention and make you relate with him.
Nana Patekar with his JamesBond type introduction and Rekha in the cameo role of the medium to cure is also at their best.
But the screenplay of the movie is what needs a mention here. This movie does everything to scare you out of your wits but does it in an unigue way.Like the conversation of Rekha with the ghost, or the scene where Urmila experiences the ghost is something which have been kept in such a way that you dont feel bad about it.Also the ghost is not shown carrying a lantern or candles and stuff like that...
So guys and gals.If u have the guts go ahead and watch this movie in the last show and prefer to return home alone on a lonely road and I am sure you wont repeat that again.Happy Bhoot time...
