I live in Hyderabad and travel via Bhopal from my hometown to Hyderabad. Some of my friend lives in Bhopal so I have visited Bhopal but I did not dind anything interested there, Being the capital city Bhopal is not even can be compared to Indore or other state’s capitals. Accessibility wise bhopal is quite accessible from all the big cities in country as it is the central part of india, it has better connectivity compared to any other city.
But Bhopal roads are worst and I thing no patch work since a year or so.
In tourist places there are few lacks like lower lack. Taj-Mahal is also famouse but I did not like it that much. I dont even find too many tourist places in Bhopal.
Accomodation wise it is below average, you have to pay more to get a good hotel and if you want cheaper you will get a hotel room that is not liveable.
Safety wise also Bhopal is not great, people are very rude there and will try to tease you in their specific tone. Even autorikshw guy can start fighting with passenger without any genuine reason. I own felt it.
I would not recommend Bhopal to anybody. Instead go to some good location like Pachmarhi, Indore and nearby places to Indore.
