I have been riding this bicycle in Bangalore since almost a year. I opted for cycling considering that fact that my brothers and sisters are already doing enough to damage the eco system, I thought then why should I join them, so opted to cycle to my office.
First fact is that in my office, with a strength of almost 2K, its only two engineers who prefer to travel on bicycle, for others its an option well below dignity.
About the cycle, its a racing one, but definitely can be used for daily commute. It requires frequent maintenance thats the issue that I have faced, and apart from that, also the lack of suspension troubles a lot.
Gears are good, mine is having 10 gears, and I must say, its pretty responsive in catching up speed. I can confidently say that for short distances, the time taken by bicycle is far less than compared to bikes/cars.
If you want a cheap geared bike, not planning to ride 25KM per day(or something like that) then for it, otherwise ill recommend u should go for a bike which is good on suspension.
