We bought 3 items from Big Bzaar Kolkata in Hiland Park on 3rd Aug 2007.
1. Echo Bed - which is basically wrought iron bed – Rs. 4999
2. Mattress – Rs. 3499
3. TV unit – Rs.999
We were promised 10 days delivery time. From the 11th day onwards we started to get worried because no one called us. We started calling them up and calls landed all over India (Mumbai mainly). After repeated calls to all the numbers on the cash memo and the internet, which usually no one bothered to answer, or kept us on hold and disconnected, ultimately someone bothered to call us on the 20th day (mainly because by this time our calls were getting a bit threatening).
All the 3 products were finally delivered to us after nearly a month but on the day of delivery the TV unit leg was already broken. We are working people so didn’t get time to complain.Now we see the mattress (which was anyways overpriced) is of horrible quality. On lying on the mattress we can feel the iron rods of the bed beneath our back.
Is this what the store boasts of? I really don’t have the energy to go through the torturous phone calls to complain again, whee I would either be hung up or transferred from person to person.
THE IMPRESSION THE PLACE HAS LEFT IN MY MIND IS IT IS SMELLY, PROMISING TRASH PRODUCTS AT OVERVALUED PRICES.
PLEASE DON’T LET YOURSELF CHEATED LIKE ME.
