I’ve visited big bazaar n number of times by now, and every time I visit it, there is a disappointment in one form or the other. Mostly because of the billing queues. Also the personel doing the billing are very inefficient and manual entry errors creep in almost always. If you pick up a product which has no bar code/faulty bar code, they keep the customers in the line waiting while they try to find out the missing bar code endlessly. Also there are instances that the a product which was not in your basket might end up in your bill. The customer service desk is very irresponsible and talk rashly with the customers. And there are these always troubling ICICI bank people right near the counter disturbing you when you are at the cash counter, busy trying to check your bill or counting money.
Though Big Bazzar has many of these drawbacks, stand-alone Food Bazzar outlets are good. It is better to buy branded food products the then compare the savings at the end of the bill, instead of buying Big Bazaar products and going in for the false savings they show.
There is nothing much to boast about this place. Please avoid such crowded places, there are a lot of chances that you forget items in your shopping list, wait for hours near the billing counter, wait for parking space, get pick-pocketed.
