I am a avid shopper at Big Bazar ….Yes..It is very crowded place and one does not feel like shopping there as you hardly find space to stand with people on all the sides… you don’t even get to see what’s on display...We have big fights at home whenever I insist to go to big bazar for grocery items. Big bazar is a good place to shop minus parking and billing constraints...
The biggest challenge you have once you enter big bazar is to get hold of a shopping cart(one with wheels) and the attendants are not really helpful...I think big bazar should add more shopping carts.
If you to look at it logically there is no discount on quality or branded products. Unknown and cheap brands have heavy discounts. So is the case with expired food items...The security men at entry and exit gates are rude...Most of us think that we save a lot of money (which is not the case ) by shopping at big baazar, but it is a good bet for only grocery items since the quality is not compromised upon..
Another inconvenience is when you have to shop at other floors in the mall…There is no escalators which force you to leave your shopping cart at the same level and go to other levels to shop. You can only pray to see your cart intact with all items (sometimes even other shoppers pick up items from your cart rather than taking the pain to pick up from the rack). I will not write about long queues at billing. You can only imagine the pain if I have to shop at 2 levels and wait for billing at all of these levels.
Like they have separate cash counters for less than 5 or 10 items, they don’t have special counter for heavy shoppers. At big bazaar customers who buy fewer items are privileged lot then that who shop heavily whereas it should be other way round.
IF ONLY big bazaar can get the following in place they will never lose good loyal customers.
Ample Parking Space
Enough Shopping Carts
Courteous employees
Sufficient Cash counters
Genuine discounts
