Big Bazaar is a big con. It disguises the cheating under the garb of offers. Take the example of Exchange offer(naya lo purana badal dalo). Though they offer Rs 30 for 1 kg of old paper, Rs 200 for 1 kg of old clothes; the catch lies is that you have to buy minimum of 4 times of the Rs received.
For example if you give 1 kg of old clothes, you receive Rs 200 in the form of coupons. And to claim that you have to buy new clothes minimum of 4 times i.e. Rs 800. Instead of clothes, if you are interested in buying items such as soap, powder or detergent cakes, you have to buy it worth of 10 times i.e. Rs 2000. So imagine if you have just 5 kg of old clothes, you would receive coupons worth of Rs 1000. And if you are shopping non-clothes items, you have to buy it worth of Rs 10, 000
Well as a customer I understand that as this exchange offer is by choice and not by force, it is upto the customer whether to go for it or not. But the Big Con does mention on the exchange coupon that you have to buy 10 times the coupon value only in case of home food items. But the home food items category includes not only juices, snacks, noodles, biscuits but shockingly shampoo, soap, washing machine powder also. And needless to say the clothes items also have highly overpriced items during this exchange offer.
Hence proved that Big Bazaar is a Big Con.
