No I am not a shopping freak :o)

Not long ago, when I was a small kid… as soon as mummy used to announce “I am going shopping today evening”, immediately our (me and my siblings) minds used to think about the fun we can have in the bazaar, we can have gola, juice, chocolates or if mom is in a good mood we can get a toy (wow!!) if not anything (rare case) we can just enjoy looking around different shops and people in the market, a spontaneous fight used to start between us to be at our best and cajole mom to take ME with her. :o) Bazaar in those days meant moving around on the roads, bargain, buy vegetable, fruits, dresses or whatever we want to buy, hold the load (of bags) and move around in the heat (phew!!) it was so much fun. Those were the best days…

Now, when I am a big kid lolz!! One Saturday (Saturday is officially off for both me and hubby) hubby dear had to go to office, I was very angry and upset, he managed to go only after convincing me that he will leaves early from office and we go for a visit at a huge shopping mall “Big Bazaar”, according to him it was a huge latest trend kind of Bazaar... I haven’t even heard about it and he knows we both don’t enjoy shopping… Huh!! Anyways let’s see what it is, I though and allowed him to go… :o)

I reached hubby’s office around 4pm and had to spend some time surfing the net and spending time on MS [I do that daily :o( lolz!!]… After half an hour or so he finally got time to look at me and show me around in his office (I was there for the first time… its worth seeing) and soon we said good byes to his colleagues and walked our way towards “Big Bazaar” (its close by from his office)…

Walking through some, under construction buildings and small dirty lanes, we finally reached this huge Bazaar, it would not be more than 8 minutes walk from the lower parel station, believe me the building didn’t seems to be that big, from outside… then what was so special about this Big Bazaar?

We wandered around the complex and surprisingly found it to be very clean and tidy (not at all like the streets of Mumbai) with all hap crowds, with a huge parking space and where else will you find McDonald’s, Barista and Dominos all within the same complex? On an impulse we bought veg. burger and popcorn. After eating, now that we had some energy we decided to finally go and check what this huge bazaar is all about? :o)

Wow!! There were huge discount hoardings all around and we were even more excited.

We tried to enter through one door when we were told this is only for exit go in from the other one :o( , although the watchman said this very politely, is this the way you welcome your customers?

Once we were in…Didn’t know where to start from, not because we found so many things to buy that we didn’t know what to buy and what not to buy but because we don’t know how to do shopping Lolz!!. Just looking around we moved on, there was crockery section, general house hold stuff like carpet, utensils, flower pots, towels… just about everything, but nothing which could make us spend some money :o(.

In the next section there was snacks center, wow!! Again we bought some tid bits to eat while hunting for something we could purchase. :o( then Lo!! We found socks, yeah hubby wanted a pair since such a long time, looking at the discount tag we immediately bought it without second thought, see we too can do some shopping? :o) next what amazed us was there were fresh clean vegetables, fruits been sold there and that too same as market rate. No pains of bargain just pick up what you want :o)… but then we remembered that we have to go back home in local train :o( so we postpone buying vegetables till we can afford to come there by our car Lolzz!! we were jealous of people who stay close by, good for them…

Phew!! Me was already tired of shopping… on the first floor we saw clothes and more clothes :o) there were clothes for kids, for men, for women, for girls… just for everyone, but it was a pain to search for a right color and fitting combination you want from those boxes in which clothes were just dumped, finally I found a trouser which was as though just for me… :o) we kept strolling further… Next we found in the shoes section a perfect pair which we both liked a lot, again selecting color was a tough job but finally we both agreed on grey color :o) wow!! We did a lot of shopping…

Lastly it was time for paying damages, there was a long queue at the counter and we had to wait for some time, finally it was our turn and when we saw the bill we couldn’t believe it, we had done the purchasing of 1.5k Phew!! LoL!! Both of us were really happy. After having some more snacks we started the boring journey back home…

No I am not a shopping freak, but still can spend so much money in one visit…

Statutory Warning: Don’t go there, you will end up spending a lot of money. :o)
