It drags you into its world.

I must say first that I absolutely love this programme. I watched the first instalment last year avidly. I did’nt want Craig to win though, I preferred Anna Nolan the lesbian nun. That first night when everybody found out things about each other was riveting viewing. I was unlucky enough to only have a 56k connection though, restricting the quality of my viewing on the internet.

They have bettered it this time around though with the introduction of their spin off digital channel E4. This means you can watch the house 24 hours a day in crystal clear vision. If only it was like that the first time around when I thought it was a better, more interesting mix of people. Yes, Nick was a dick, Anna started off boring but perked up, Craig was just annoying (Yeah like, what like, eye like) and Darren was a pantomime queen. Despite these judgements, I rate them better than the lot that is in the house now. Dean is boring, so is Elizabeth, Paul cannot stop saying ’’cool’’, Helen is not the brightest blonde in the world and Brian is a homosexual who is always spitting the dummy out.

I have to say that when they decided to do celebrity Big Brother, I vowed not to watch any of the series’ ever again as I thought they had killed the concept. Who wants to see Vanessa Feltz get out of bed on a morning?

When this new series started though, I just couldn’t resist having a look on the first night. It hooked me, I had been a disgrace to myself, I get called names, I wake up with the contestants on a weekend. I am sad.

This aside, I strongly recommend to anyone to watch it. I cannot imagine anyone who hasn’t seen at least five minutes of the highlights programme on channel 4. Maybe if you are 90 years old and go to bed at 7.30 then you may have missed it. Forget about bedtime, watch it, or at least set the video. Watch Brian bouncing around the house like an idiot. Fall asleep listening to Dean and Elizabeth having a conversation or follow Paul and Helen as they flirt openly in the group. This has only resulted in them being nominated for eviction at the end of the week. Not a wise move then.

The best part I like about BB is the tasks. BB sets the group a task every week and the group have to work together to complete it. This determines how much money the group have to spend on groceries, tobacco and alcohol etc as the have to bet a certain percentage on whether they will complete the task. Obviously if they fail, they lose the percentage that they bet.

If you have got digital television then get to channel 205 now and start watching the programme. You may end up nocturnal.
