Review : ...but you see the Taj mahal doesnt show movies at Rs.25 and Rs.15!!
Location: Sangam is located at J.B. Nagar and very popular in this region... ask anyone where Sangam is and theyll give you prompt directions.
Condition: The area around the hall is a bit of a dump under reconstruction. the walls on the outside are old and full of moss, inside the cinema sports an escalator which probably used to work earlier but doesnt any more, not a single air conditioner to be found, there is also a water fountain in here that doesnt work.
The food is decent enough, the usual popcorn and samosas and simba chips and stuff. The seatsused to be plush and beatiful years and years ago.. or so Ive heard, but now theyre shadows of their foam cushioned kind. Space: The place is completely empty, as except for a few mawalis and chattering housewives anyone hardly ever comes here.
So you can sit anywhere you want, how ever you want and enjoy the movie in whatever posture you feel like taking. Fans hang from the ceiling and it is normally under them that most people sit.
Pricing: If you are low on cash do not despair this place is cheap that fifteen bucks is all you need to get a stall ticket, the food is cheaply priced too.
Movies:Only once in a month does this cinema put up a movie on time other wise the movies they show have eithere left the cinemas or are not doing as well, they show a plethora of C-grade flicksin the mornings and sometimes also in the nights. But the decent ones they do show are of good picture and sound quality.
In the end all I can say is... this used to be a very trendy place but now in ruins... who cares a whole movie in 25 bucks Im game!
