The Big Boy

What a great movie! I saw it with great hopes, and those hopes were satisfied. As far as I’m concerned, Big is a fantastic success.

Tom Hanks, once again proved his fabulous acting talent, after all, I can’t name one bad movie that I have seen him in. And didn’t they choose the kid that was him wonderful!

The effects and everything were super and, (apart from his white suit at the party) they didn’t overdo anything.

When he is upset because he couldn’t go on a ride with a girl he likes because he was to short, he goes to a wish machine, and wishes he was big, but what he didn’t know, is that his wish would come true. The next morning he wakes up to find that he is an adult, and for the time being, there’s nothing he can do about it.

His mum chases him out of the house, thinking that he is a criminal, but when he tries to convince his best friend that it really is him, it works. Together they go out of town, and he takes refuge in a dirty motel. The next day he finds a job at a toy company on a computer. A few days later when he’s browsing at a toy store, he runs into his boss, and makes friends with his boss, earning himself a promotion. Later, he falls inlove with a lady at his work. You have to watch the rest, and I highly recomend it.

This movie really makes you realise how important and reliable your best friend is to you, and how much out of place an average kid would be in the world of adults.

The genre is a sort or heartbreak comedy, and it is easy to watch over and over again.
