My plea to all customers who are going for a new DTH service. pls pls pls don’t even think of buying Big tv in your dreams, cause your dream would turn into a nightmare. Although I have seen some of the reviews here on mouthshut saying the picture quality is good, sound is good, value for money and all the good that could be said about BIgtv , but it comes with a inherent worst no no lousy no no filthy (need to find a better word to describe) service you could ever expect. I got my BIG tv a month ago soon after the installation the set top box stopped functioning, I had several complaints lodged with their call centre and its over a month now to my surprise nobody turned up till date to resolve the issue.
The call centre guys of big tv are taught to frustrate the customer by putting them on hold unnecessarily and they would never escalate the call to their supervisor/manager. I had a cable tv earlier and after I bought BIG tv I had disconnected cable tv, Now its complete blackout at my house. Forgot to write a very important point, big tv doesn’t a have office where you can go in person to lodge a compliant. This leaves you either you go to big tv callcentre (where customers are just fooled) or go to consumer forum (which would take ages to resolve the issue, till then its a blackout). So if you don’t want to get into this kind of a situation, never buy a big tv. Go for other services like airtel which runs on the same MPEG-4 Technology or tata-sky.
