The biggest mistake I did was to believe the words of agent Firoz from APPCO Marketing (Bangalore ) who sold me the Reliance Big TV connection.
Firoz came to my house for a sales visit at around 7 pm, 2 weeks back and informed me about the great offer from reliance Big TV which was valid only for that particular day. What he bragged about was the huge discount he was offering, ie, I have to pay an initial lump sum of Rs.1500 instead of Rs.4800 plus. I received a list of all the channels that i will be able to watch along with a promise of a special channel(called I cricket) where it would be possible for me to watch all the cricket matches played by India which will be broadcast in Neo Cricket.
This convinced me to purchase the Big TV connection immediately and i gave him a post dated cheque (so that I would have enough time to check out the reviews for Big TV). I read the bad reviews regarding the false commitments made by APPCO agent Shyam Thyagi. The following day i confronted him with the bad reviews (as mentioned in the same forum) and he convinced me that the concerned person was a fraud and was dismissed from the company following his poor service. Little did I know that I would have to go through a similar experience.
Since I was not able to see any cricket matches for 2 days, I called Firoz (@ 9886163667) and he innocently informed me that he will check and do the needful. That was the last time I spoke with him from my mobile. He would not pick up my calls and would simply disconnect. After a week, my brother called him from his mobile posing as a new customer and Firoz made the same false promises. I understood that he was avoiding me and I used my landline to call him and he picked up. After I complained about the service, he simply disconnected the call without providing any answers. I also contacted his manager, Sidharth, in Pune and he wasted a good amount by putting me on hold, to finally disconnect my call.
Frustrated with the behaviour of the agent, I spoke to the customer care and the reps there would ask me a list of questions and put me on hold, following which the call would get disconnected. Till now, I havent got a solution to my problem and they stated that they cant register a complaint against anyone working for Big TV or APPCO. Can you believe their ATTITUDE! Thats when I decided to write a review and post the same in consumer court.
Friends, please call 1800 200 9002 (customer care) before you purchase anything from Big TV agents and confirm the offers made by them.
