This is not exactly a review of Big TV but of the issues I faced to get it installed. I will update the review with the quality of the channels once it is activated. So here it goes.
After mulling over it for more than 3 months, I decided to go ahead with Big TV. A couple factors that helped me decide were:
Big TV STB has component out: This was definitely a big factor in deciding to go ahead with Big TV. The possibility of receiving HD quality channels in the future was very enticing.
Big TV uses MPEG4 over MPEG2 which is used by the others. Honestly, I did not see too much of a difference in the quality between Tata Sky or Big TV, but I fell for the hype.
The mysterious USB port at the back. I am not yet sure what this is for. I googled for it and found folks asking the same question. It could either be for playback of MPEG4 videos from various USB sources or possibly for recording to a USB source.
