I have subscribed under the Reliance Energy Customer offer [free viewing for 5 months of all channels including movies]. My TV was connected from 16/06/2008 . My TV signal was stopped and I was receiving the message please subscribe to the Channel (blue screen). I contacted customer care and I was advised that my offer period was over yesterday (16/11/2008) and I need to buy a recharge voucher. I have bought a recharge voucher for Rs. 300 (on Nov15, 2008) and credited it to my account but still I was not receiving the signal I have contacted customer care again (over phone) but I was told that my account was having a negative balance of Rs. 765. As I under stand, big TV works on a pre-paid system and how can there be negative balance and moreover I was under the offer period till end of Nov 08. Every time, I contact customer care, the call takes atleast 30 minutes to get some decent answer but finally nothing works.
I have atleast made some 30 calls and to my credit (sic) some 10 compliant nos all with standard answers: "Sorry sir" "within 48 hours it will be alright sir" "all seniors are engaged in other calls sir". Our good old cable guy seems to be better.
Mouthshut guys -is there something called as negative rating!!
