Big Tv. Suggest you not to buy this DTH. Instead keep watching your local cable. Customer Service and Technical service are extremely bad. I bought this plan on 1st Nov, 2008. 2nd Nov they did the installation. I was so happy for the quick service. In Hindi we say "Haathi kay Danth, dhikaney key kuch aur , aur khaney ke kuch aur". This proverb is best suite for Big TV.
Channels were running fine. I have taken 2190 plan in Bangalore. The audio and video quality is low but accepted it because for 2190 in a year, it is nice only, getting my favorite channels. Even I discovered that many times your sim card and set top box does not work. Called customer care and as per their information reinsert the sim card and it works. Changing of the channel is very very slow. You can loose your patience.
Here is another story for customer service, I called the customer care when I got problem in viewing. CSR asked me to reinsert the sim card. I asked another question about the plan. The CSR told that it is 1990. I got little annoyed and CSR told me to call from the dealer shop for details.
Went to the dealer shop and called again to the customer care in afternoon. The customer care informed me my plan is 2490 (the plan was not existing in Karnataka). I asked CSR name and ID. Name he told me as Jaideep and Employee ID he didnt gave. There was a little hot discussion and he told me that he cannot share personal information. This sentence annoyed me a lot and in return I told him that he is working for me and emp ID is not his personal thing.
Then I stopped calling Big TV and thought that after one year or in middle I will throw this "Dabba". Even Ambani group is very rich, I will think I have donated him this money.
Suddenly on 26th Nov, 2008 lot of channels it is not showing and asking for the subscription. This is enough now. Called the customer care and they said they have taken the complaint, provided the complained number and said that within 48 hours it will be rectified. Till now that 48 hours not came and I am not able to view the channels.
So remember there is a ad in every where that 1 million happy customer - I think there is a little typo error. It probabaly whould be "1 million unhappy customer". Everyone got this Big TV because it was cheaper compared to other DTH. But who knows the service is worst. It was just a marketing policy of Reliance to get more customers. Once gain they cheated us like they have done earlier - Didnt remember Rs 500/- get a CDMA mobile.
So request not to get cheated by this FRAUD! person (Big TV)
