After going through all the reviews of dish, tatasky, and reliance, I decided to install a DTH to my home as my cable wallah was not giving good service, inspite of complaining of bad reception of channels (with lots of dots and lines), he did not rectify for almost a month. So, I frustrated and decided to go DTH, while I was surfing all the DTH service providers and going thro their subscription details and no. of channels they offered, as airtel’s digital tv’s was just launched, I thought of going with them, but there were no info about thier packages in neighborhood stores, so I finally decided to go with BIG TV, and went to book on Oct 13, though the store guy told it may take at least a week to 10 to get installed, he offered me a sun direct for immediate installation, as I was already decided to go with BIG, any how I paid him full amount of Rs 1990 to go with BIG TV.
As I have read in mouthshut about BIG TV’s customer support was very poor, but I liked their channel offering and their 32 cinema halls, I was prepared to wait. But the real thing you have to believe, and it was also surprise to me also, on the same day afternoon (the day I booked by BIG TV), I got a call from my store guy that he u r available today in your house, there is chance that u get a installation, I got surprise and I said I will be available whole day, then after an hour I recd one more from the store guy that the people have com to install the instruments, I was overjoyed, two guys came to my house and they indtalled the dish and STB (set-top-box) in 45 mins and they said installation is over and in about 2-3 hrs u can view the channel and left the place. The installation guy named alok was very professional in his work, he told he is from Mumbai and set up was done very nicely.
I did not received any channels until 24 hours of installation and I kept on calling their customer support, each time they said different differnt things, I was in a mess, but still I kept in patience.
At last, I received the channels the next day around 7 pm in the evening. It was worth the wait. All channels are crystal clear in quality and sound is also good.
WHETHER I MAY BE LUCKY OR BIG TV HAS IMPROVED A LOT OVER THE PAST SEVERAL WEEKS OF BAD REMARK.
AT LAST I AM RELIEVED BY MY CABLEWALLAH AND HIS BAD QUALITY CHANNEL, FOR TIME BEING 9ATLEAST FOR 1 YEAR). AS MY SUBSCRIPTION IS FREE FOR ONE YEAR.
