It was the worst ever sales experience from any Reliance product.
Although, I am never really impressed by any Reliance customer support team, but this was the worst ever experience. I would like to make every body aware of the wrong tactics used by Big TV sales team.
One Sunday evening, two Big TV sales guys came to our home, I was sitting in my lawn. They asked about my current cable TV connection, then they told me about the on-going Big TV offer. They told me that If any of my cheque book contains a specific number then I can get a discount of upto Rs. 2300, which is more than 60% of the product cost. I checked my cheque book and and was quite thrilled to find out that I was having the required number. I invited the guys inside my home. They elaborated the offering, I asked them to give me proof of the actual and offer price. They just ignored my request and keept telling about features of their product.
I was impressed by their offer and agreed to buy it. They took cheque of Rs. 1490 and gave me a form and a receipt and went away by telling that I would receive a confirmation call on Monday and the dish and other equipment would be installed within 5 days. So far it was fine.
Later in the night, I started checking Big TV’s site for the actual offer and cost price. I was shocked to find out that I was not offered any discount of even a single rupee. They had taken the actual cost of the product. So, I instantly logged into my bank and requested for stop cheque payment. Later on compared price of other DTH services. Big TV was not really offering any discount.
So, that was really a very bad experience for me. I warn all the people of any such phony offers.
