I would like to update on my Earlier review, as all reliance is this is just promise and at the end you feel cheated. It has been two months now since I got BIG TV and frankly I feel betrayed. The number channels has gone down again. I have lost the regional package I was promised the regional package for 3 months and now within 2 months it’s gone.i wold seriously suggest, people don’t buy this product you will definitely regret it everytime you switch on your TV.
I had written this review some 1months back and now I’m back to update on my experiences. I have to say that I feel betrayed by Big TV. Last week when I completed my first of Big TV I got a rude shock, when I tried to change channel n go watch HBO it told that I have to pay to watch it I was little surprised as I was promised no charges for the first 1 year. Then I got a doubt and surfed some more channels and found NEO cricket n sports gone, CNN and BBC gone and all the Zee channels gone. When I called up the customer care they told me read the bill or some brochure and they had mentioned they’ll remove these channels. I felt like I was stabbed in the back. I was told that I have to pay 25rs every month extra for movie channels ans 25 extra for neo sports etc. So people who are planning to buy bug Tv please look into the finer details of the print before committing on this investment.
I stay in a small town by the name of Chickmagalur in Karnataka, I just Big TV some products are all promises but have othing to back it up, I’m glad to tell you BIG TV isn’t one of those. I read other reviews about Big Tv almost all of them had problems with Installation(make sure before you buy if that agent himself will install it or you have to get a Relliance "engineer") I made sure that I bought it from a person who could install it fot me. All this installation took about 2-3 hours after which I was getting only 1 Tv channel and 10 radio channels, I was promised that my activation card(SIM for DTH) will be activated in 24 hours. This promise was kept and I had 187 channel running(execpt those 10 English channels)
BIg TV is not perfect and has it’s drawbacks but which are ignorable compared to the good things it has to offer. I think it is a little slow, you have press on a button and wait for 2-3 seconds to wait for to happen(i guess you used to it) there is no ifo about your account like in Tata sky. The Big TV banner ont he right top corner is annoying especially if you are watching a football match, the scores are not visible.
The Big TV help line is pathetic, I called the customer care and was put on hold for more than 10 minutes. then Finally somebody picked up the call. I don’t know where Anil Ambani found this person! I was confused if I was speaking english! I hope they improve on this.
Other than these few tiny problems iIm able to enjoy channels which I never could before. BiG TV is much more economical(around 175 rs) than than Tata Sky(nearly 300 rs per month) My mother loves to watch regional channels and Big Tv covers all the regional channels so we are a happy family. I guess tata sky’s slogan "Jo family Dekhe tata sky sat sat rahe sat sat "
suits BIg Tv better because there is something for everybody.
Navigating with Big Tv is a little difficult compared to TATA sky wish they can make it user friendly.
The bottom line is Big Tv is worth ever penny you pay for it. I’m happy that I got Big Tv hope they add few more channels and maintain those channels.

we have 2 TV’s at home. I had Tata sky before which I had bought 5 months back. My other Tv was left idle as I had to get a seperate connection for it and now with Big Tv I can use both by paying a little extra(instead of getting a complete new connection)
