Reliance big tv is one of the worst consumer oriented brand i have come across. My contract with them recently got over and i was very relieved to get away from the their service. Have shifted to tata sky and very satisfied with them.
Issues with reliance big TV
You cannot reach their customer service number without at least 5-10 tries. If you do reach, they can only solve basic problems. After that they do not have any escalation process. They themselves admit on phone that they are not part of the company.
Two times in last 2 yrs the company started some extra packs in my account since i had some money left in my account. I then learned a lesson that never leave any extra money in hands of reliance adag group.
The DVR equipment hangs at least once or twice a month. The customer care will then ask you to reset it. Several times when we put stuff on recording, the recording never happens. Several times when you are trying to record and watch at same time, the menu becomes extremely slow. All this reminds me of windows 386 days when the pc would hang if you tried to do too many things
-Trying to recharge the account is always a mess. It is 2-3 step process and ends up taking few hours.
- There are not enough hd channels. When all tata sky customers were getting cricket world cup on hd, reliance did not even had that option.
