Reliance Entertainment group, Reliance ADA is right now all over the market. There were few stories floating around on the internet about Reliance launching its Social Networking Site. Today the site has gone live. The site is called BigAdda.com. The site has gone live today.
The word ’adda’ exists in many Indian languages. "Adda" manifests itself everywhere in embryonic form. From the Egyptians or Turks chilling out with a cup of coffee or the Americans guzzling bear in a
pub – everybody is found relaxed, relieved and deeply engrossed in a typical ’adda’ mood, sometime or the other.
And be sure to upload & share your own pix. Blogs – Post your views, become a critic, share your life, and read about others; let the thoughts flow. Addas – Hang together with like- minded folks. Join or create Addas to enjoy the interactive buzz. I know the fact that orkut is being dominating all of us for a long time.
So may be Reliance’s BigAdda is going to be similar addiction for internet community (I dont want to use the word but I cant resist myself so here you go. BigAdda.com would be the similar addiction for "Internet Junkies") no offense to anybody. :-)What are the features ??
Well the same as most of the other social networking sites but in addition, you can have photos, videos, your own blogs and ADDAs (something similar to yahoo/google groups).You can Add unlimited photos to your gallery! Create your own albums, write captions, and add comments.
You can Choose from Hollywood, Bollywood and even Tollywood and other regional videos. Choose from various categories including comedy, commercials, travel, etc and upload them.So may be its a
combination of MySpace, Orkut, YouTube and Yahoo/Google Groups. This is really a well thought product and can definately beat all other social
networking sites.
I was not able to find out the official blog from BigAdda. Most of the links that shows up in google
is not working anymore. May be they had their blog initially to get user feedback (to choose template/logo) and now removed that.
I personally feel that bigAdda would be a new trend and the hype which it have created would flow like a stream.
