I have been using Bigbasket since 2018 and their delivery system across Hyderabad is awesome. I have ordered products from various locations for my offices across Hyderabad and also for home locations and they were spot on time. I have used their services at locations like Somajiguda, Saifabad, Madhapur, Raidurg, etc.
Bigbasket sells and delivers products like:
- Fruit & Vegetables
- Food Grain, Oil & Masala
- Bakery, Cake & Dairy
- Beverages
- Snacks & Branded Foods
- Beauty & Hygiene
- Cleaning & Household
- Kitchen, Garden & Pets
- Eggs, Meat & Fish
- Gourmet & World Food
- Baby Care
Mostly I order my monthly grocery at least once every month but then there are months when I have made 2 to 3 orders from Bigbasket. The best thing I like is Bigbasket offering me as a customer to select from multiple time slots my suitable delivery time i.e. when I am available to collect it at my place. And to date, it has never happened that Bigbaskest has missed delivering the products on time.
The delivery boy/man is mostly polite and soft-spoken. They give time for us to cross-check the delivered items against the ordered list, allowing us to confirm all the products have been delivered. Yes, there are times when they are in a hurry when I have to request them to allow me to check if everything is delivered or not. Maybe once or twice the delivery boy/man was harsh/rude to me. That’s human behavior and can be due to various reasons, can’t complain on that part.
There have been times when the delivery boy/man has informed us that they were unable to deliver the product and hence they will initiate a refund and that they do instantly i.e. before they leave from the delivery location.
I won’t recommend one to purchase Fruit & Vegetables from Bigbasket as my experience of buying these was not good. The vegetables delivered were not fresh.
Things Bigbasket needs to improve on:
- Customer Service: Very poor service currently they are providing even though Bigbasket is a TATA Enterprise now their customer service sucks.
- Minimum Purchase for Free Delivery is so high. One needs to buy products worth Rs. 600/- at least to get a Free Delivery service is too high.
- Improve the quality of Fruits and Vegetables that a customer buys. On-times by seeing the quality I felt Bigbasket is trying to clear their stock, things are not rotten completely but they are in the stage just before they start rotting and the quality used to be so pathetic that one can’t keep the fruits or vegetables till next day and has to either consume it on the same day it’s been delivered or throw them in the dustbin the following day.
- On cancellation of the order the money is currently refunded to the customer’s account and stays there till the customer makes the next purchase so that it gets adjusted in the next bill. It should get refunded to the customer i.e. via the mode the customer has paid i.e. with Credit/Debit Card or Net Banking i.e. for a customer who has prepaid for the ordered products.
If you reside in Hyderabad, Telangana then I will surely suggest you buy groceries on Bigbasket i.e. unless or until you have another cheaper or reliable source for buying them online.
