Don't Fall prey to BIGBASKET.COM

ORDER NO: BBO-2057524-200215 and BBFVO-2052539-190215


I had the worst ever experience from this online store when I ordered for the first time from BIGBASKET.COM for the first time today. After couple of hours of my order the bill amount had changed and they said vegetable prices are fluctuating and can change any time, that meant even in the next minute. I was wondering if I was trading there in some shares or some gold and silver!


I was really excited to get my order today evening until I had this lifetime experience. The delivery boy called and said that the security guard of my society is not allowing to get the vehicle inside the apartment. Well this was because the big basket guy had damaged the property of our apartment an year back when they came inside with their vehicle. Hence our society had put these rules across the security to never allow any vendors to get their vehicles inside. And these guys are delivering from past 1 year without getting the vehicle inside the society. The delivery boy was really rude when he was speaking to me, and he was saying that there are 4 orders and how should I deliver. Well. all the 4 orders were not mine. And why should I be responsible for the 4 of them?


Then I got a call from Mr. Sharath from the customer care who really provoked me to cancel the order. But I didn’t at that point of time. I just tried one last time to call the security of my apartment to ask if he can allow just today. And he told me the delivery guy is not alone and he has more staff to accompany him and also that he has a trolley and he has already agreed to deliver which was contradictory to what Mr. Sharath told me, he said the person is alone and doesn’t have a trolley, so how will he deliver. AND HE ALSO ASKED ME TO GO TO THE MAIN GATE OF MY COMPLEX AND GET THE GOODS FROM THERE IF I REALLY NEEDED THEM.


And to my utter surprise he did deliver to the other flats except mine. Mind it guys it was my first order today and that too fully prepaid for nearly 3000 bucks. And still Mr. Sharath is arguing with me that I can cancel the order and giving me false information and telling me that the people will deliver tomorrow morning. He indirectly provoked me to cancel my order.


In between he disconnected the call even without listening to what I was saying. Then I called them back and again the person disconnected. Not sure if it was being done purposefully. Still I didn’t leave it at that and called again, this time it was Mr. Imran who was a humble guy and understood my problem and he said it will be escalated and the person will deliver now. Just after some time Mr. Sharath called again and said it will not be possible to deliver, then I told him better cancel it. Then got a call from Mr. Vinod and he too said the same thing. Once I told them to cancel it then their statement has changed and they are saying that the Trolley is damaged so the person can’t deliver today. And he is telling me that you said to cancel it so we have cancelled it. I told him better mind your words you had provoked me to cancel it and you didn’t care about a new customer who has ordered so much for the first time. Then this guy refunded the amount on my big basket account and not on the card through which I made the payment. Had to call and get this sorted again.


So see these things people -




  1. Trolley was not there, then trolley has got damaged




  2. They didn’t bother to deliver to a prepaid order of a new customer




  3. The amount of 3000 didn’t matter to them




  4. They provoked me to cancel it and were putting it on me that I cancelled it




  5. They should have asked where I wanted the money back




  6. Worst ever customer care and worst ever delivery team




  7. Was asked to get the goods from the main gate of the complex if I want them




  8. Vegetable prices increased in couple of hours after I made the booking






PLEASE DON’T FALL PREY TO THEIR ADVERTISEMENTS. IT’S NOT WORTH A PENNY. ALL THIS COSTED ME MORE THAN 2 HOURS FROM MY WORK SCHEDULE.


I AM NEVER GOING TO ORDER FROM THIS PLACE AGAIN. IT WAS A LIFETIME EXPERIENCE FOR ME. PEOPLE PLEASE LEARN FROM IT.
