I have been using the bigflix service from August 2008. I got to know about the service from ICICI bank credit card promotion. I selected 1 year unlimited 1 disc at a time for Rs 1800 which was 40% discount of the annual price.
1) You can sign up on the website and enter your address and put movies in the queue and you are good to use the service.
2) They delivery the movie next day if you have requested a pick up before midnight and they delivery only the original DVD.
3) I have watched 66 movies and tv serials dvd’s till now and none of them had any problem which was a good experience considering that I had used seventymm service before which gave 2 bad dvds in 3 months.
4) Delivery happens 7 days a week(even on Sunday). But generally I watch the movie on Sunday and during weekday so only used Sunday service once.
5) You get an email and sms about which movie would be delivered to you in advance. The person comes with no advance calling so I leave the discs at my desk in office and my office guard replaces it with the new disc which comes for delivery.
6) Now the cost has increased to Rs 2100 for one year for old members like me.
7) I have sometimes used the Brigade road bigflix center also to exchange movies but they don’t have all the movies so getting delivery is better option.
8) I would recommend the service to people who seriously like to watch movies in dvd format and not pirated movies. The service is excellent in Bangalore and I never had any issues. Me and my wife are total movie buffs now and we visit theaters only for very good and super hit movies.
