As a reviewer it is very easy to condemn a product to the eternal depths of hell. From reading the reviews posted on this site, it appears to the common man that Big Flix is a money su*king scheme from ADAG. Well the problem is that when you have a good product or service, you become lazy and really don’t bother writing reviews yourself, as compared to if you have been at the receiving end of a shoddy product or service. However, I care to be different, and if credit is due, I take the trouble of giving it.
Big Flix is a good idea. Its convenient, cheap and fairly reliable. I live in Hyderabad and that too at the end of town in Kondapur. If they can deliver here, I can safely say they can do that in any other part of the city. To be fair, I have enrolled recently and had a good experience till now. The best part obviously is that the prints are original and a smiling delivery boy come knocking with a replacement DVD when requested. The time of delivery surely can be improved as the window is from 12noon to 6pm and if you have a working spouse, then it becomes mighty inconvenient. They will have to figure out a solution to this as I’m sure they must have come across a lot of shut doors.
I have enrolled on the entry level plan and even if I end up watching 10 movies in a month, that works out to 30 bucks a flick, not a bad deal as I usually buy my movies as I hate pirated versions that the friendly neighbourhood CDwalla supplies which are camera prints or badly scratched CDs probably used as frisbees by the previous renter.
