I joined BigFlix.com 4 days ago.and guess what, I have already had enough of them. I have decided to cancel the service.


To test the service, I subscribed to the basic 7 discs a month plan for Rs 300. And Thank God for that! I wish I had however gotten here on MouthShut.com! Knowing how many people have had trouble getting back their refunds makes me happy because I paid with my credit card and was waived the security deposit payment!


My troubles started the moment I subscribed to the service and ventured to add movies to my Queue. Well, the website was so crappy that it would just not let me do it. I tried with different browsers - IE, Firefox, Chrome, Opera - no success! It was early Sunday morning 2 am and probably the IT guys were doing maintennance because on Sunday afternoon 2 pm it started working!But I had already sent out an email to customer care about the problem.


On Monday afternoon I get a reply back that the website was perfectly fine and there was nothing wrong with it - which meant I was the liar here!


So I reply back with an email with screenshots of the problem I had faced(which I had captured at the time). I ask them to cancel my subscription(this was also due to another problem I faced which I mention below in this review). On Tuesday they reply me back to hold on to my membership and that my problem was escalated and that they would get back to me in 24 hours.


Impressively, on Monday afternoon the first DVD gets delivered - we are excited and invite a couple friend over to watch it over dinner.


About halfway through the movie(it was a laugh-riot which we were really enjoying together), it gets stuck! We remove it try it again, and then clean it with a DVD cleaner and then try it on the laptop.no, 2 different laptops! It gets stuck at the exact same point! It frustrates the hell out of all of us! Of course, I get mocked at for subscribing foolishly to a crappy, Anil Ambani service!


So, our very first delivery was a faulty DVD!


On this forum I have learnt that this is a very common problem. But, nevertheless I call Customer service on Tuesday(today) and tell them about this - she immediately says we will increase your membership by a day - which I do not understand what it meant. I tell her you send me a faulty DVD and frustrate the guts out of me and come up with this nice compensation which doesn’t mean anything to me. She parrots the same inanities which I end up hearing several times in a day talking to other customer care agents as well - 24 hours, we care for you, we are sorry for the inconvenience.


I tell her to cancel my membership and that they can shove the 300 rs up Anil Ambani’s.


Guys, this is an inefficient company, that reminds you ofof the old socialist years - except for the fact that they do have a customer care department that gets an earful from every other customer.
