Attraction to hona hi tha I heard their concept behind the show where they would bring in 13 celebrities under one roof and put them there almost under the house arrest at their own will.
Ek Nazar me bhi pyar hota hai .. People like me who never watched the yukcy-mucky soaps were excited about the concept of Bigg Boss.
Sony TV also made sure that there is enough interest created in the show by advertisement, teaser campagins ... We say Pyar to Hona hi Tha...
Chat mangni pat byah ho gaya and big boss started on Sony TV every night...daily...except Sunday...

Suhag raat hai...ghunghat utha raha hoon mein.. and I discovered a whole new meaning to the word Celebrity at BigG Boss’ House...
Bigg Boss celebrities were like Big Bazzar...Isse sasta (Cheap n Available) aur isse accha (Less money ) kahin nahin....Barring few guys like Ravi Kishan , Carol, Rakhi and Deepak Tijori, other celebrities were ghar baithe the , chalo idhar aa gaye.
But fir bhi, we stuck to that saying "we will get entertained with this baap of all the soaps" !
Woh Saat din were good and we were exploring good n bad sides of the celebrities. Everyone was calm and cool...co-operative...And I was singing Ye kahan aa gaye hum...yun hi sath sath chalte.. with a smile every night..
Lekin majboor ye halat idhar bhi the aur udhar bhi ... everyone wanted to score a brownie point over each other....
Hum majboor the to get entertained aur udhar ye halat thi ke satve din me hi Bigg Boss’ house started sounding straight out of Balaji stable. Unexpected entries, unexpected entrants, females bitching, muscled men flirting, groupism... I really understood why Arshad Warsi meant by Har daily Soap ka Baap ! Arshad aap hamare bhi "woh" nikle !
Reality Bites and how ...
This reality based show doesn’t look to be real with everyone in the bunglow acting as per their scripted roles, cameras showing unreal conversations as real and top of all, celebrities complain to big boss about artificialness in others behaviour.
But Reality bites further when ...
I’m not excited now to watch Bigg Boss as I used to be initially...but abhi Nasib me yahin hai to wahi dekhta hoon... atleast I dont expect Rakhi Sawant to come back with 20 years gap showing more cleavage ...

Bigg Boss is a reality show where few people are locked inside a place for a few months. They are not connected to the outside world by any medium of communication. They are supposed to do all the work for themselves during their stay , right from cooking to cleaning the house. There are eliminations every week by members and public votes. The one who remains in the end is winner with some huge amount......
