If at all I watch anything on television is cricket matches, news, debates, cartoons & sometimes I watch laughter programs for few minutes as the present day’s laughter programs have everything except the material that can make you smile.
Though 2 seasons of Big Boss have already been completed & to be frank I saw only one episode of Big Boss Season 1 & Big Boss Season 2, I saw nothing.
With Amitabh Bachchan, the real Big Boss of the Indian film industry at the helm to host Big Boss Season 3, I decided to watch the show just for him. The style in which he introduced the participants on the first day was simply superb.
The TV & film stars that are not doing well in their respective professions for them these reality shows have become a boon as they either become judge in such shows or they participate. At least these shows have provided them a source to earn money.
Keeping the trend in view I was not very surprised to see the participants except the inclusion of Jaya Sawant, who could not survive for more then a week.
Even though I have watched every episode till yesterday when the 4 finalists were declared, surprisingly I haven’t found any spark in the show. The sole reason for watching the show throughout was the sheer presence of Mr. Bachchan, who though appears only on Fridays & Saturdays but still makes all the difference to the show.
The show has more negatives then positives.
Sherlin Chopra was nominated by the participants & when she asked the reason for her nomination, Tanaz, who nominated her said, ‘that since there was no one else, she nominated her’ Shamita Shetty who also nominated her could not justify the nominations & called her scapegoat. WOW! What a reality.
Bakhtiyar & Tanaz was more of a romantic couple rather then participants, crying & arguing over small issues. What was the need to cover their romantic scenes when there were other participants doing other things? Was it scripted? It’s just a doubt. I don’t demand an answer.
Post Tanaz’s eviction Aditi Govitrikar & Bakhtiyar has blindly supported them, by not nominating each other. They along with Pravesh & Claudia have regularly targeted Vindoo who fortunately survived due to the support of people. Reason being he along with Raju Srivastava & Rohit was found plotting against other participants. If that is to be believed then Bakhtiyar too is to be blamed who openly said umpteen times that he would vote against Vindoo as he wants to see him go. He has been holding grudge against him, wasn’t that plotting? That’s another doubt.
Rohit Verma preferred to cry over everything. Pravesh is one of the most arrogant participants, who was blindly supported by Claudia & reached final by default. He finds so many faults in others I wish he had looked at himself at least once.
Looks like the camera was asked to follow only Bakhtiyar, who can be called a master of drama. Watch him confessing or screaming or crying in front of the camera.
Who wrote the assignments that were followed by the participants? The sponsors, I guess. Pathetic.
Ismail Darbar & Raju Srivastava played the game without being a part of any group & paid the price of early eviction. But at least their participation doesn’t raise any question except the episode where the latter was found guilty of plotting & planning. While few plotters/planners smiled, stayed till the penultimate episode & few managed to be among the finalists.
Poonam Dhillon though played honestly & she wants a woman to win the show. She happens to be the first woman to have reached the finals of Big Boss. Good luck to her.
Whatever said & done about the most controversial character of the show Vindoo Dara Singh, he happens to be a person who thinks from his heart, speaks whatever he feels like & then apologies to the person in public. The participants tried their best to see him leave the house but the support from outside ensured him a berth in final. He has also been the victim of the hand-grenades, which the person leaving the house threw at him. Pravesh & Bahktiyar just hate him. Despite all this he is one of the finalists & deserves to win the game. Good luck to him.
The stage of the show was used as a platform to promote the new films, promote products like MAX Insurance, Maggie Noodles, etc, thus making hay while the sun shines.
After watching this reality show I have reached to the conclusion that I am not going to watch any more reality shows. Well, if Mr. Bachchan becomes the host I might have to change my decision after all haven’t I seen BOOM & RGV KI AAG just because of him?
