We signed up for a domain with Bigrock. Within minutes of signing up we realized the services advertised or what we wanted werent really there.
Since they have some sort of refund policy I wrote to customer care to arrange for a refund of whatever amount they could since we werent going to use the service. I got a response in 24 hours saying that they do have a refund policy and I just need to click on a link and claim it online itself.
The link given by them didnt work - but I managed to figure out what it was and tried to get the refund. However, this resulted in an error saying the refund value was currently zero.
I wrote back to the customer care saying the link wasnt working and I wasnt able to get a refund as promised by them. I got no reply. I wrote again and again and still no response from them.
The refund may or may not be available but at least there should be customer service that responds to queries.
Also, the domain interface is pretty poor - theres no easy way to manage your stuff there. If youre used to getting mysql, one click installs etc be careful and check carefully. Its not clear what bigrock offers and what it doesnt.
Go with godaddy or some other service for domains and host with others like dreamhost.
