Bijli Mahadev is lord Shiva temple, located in Kullu district himachal pradesh. It is said about the temple that lightning hits the shivling into pieces and then priest joins it with butter and shivling again gets in its shape.It is located at 8000 ft(approx)above the sea level whether during day times is pleasant but night is very cold and chilled.
it is located in lap of himalayas. this valley caters varety of tourists and travellers. this valley starts from junction of parvati and beas river and runs towards steep side of bhuntar.
best time to travel for bijli mahadev is day time as the weather is quite pleasant and roads are also not slippery. the trek to bijli mahadev starts from naggar castle which is just 21 km from manali.n then trail takes you to nashala village which is covered with beautifull deoadar forest. walking gradually through kais wild life centuary you head toward bijli mahadev. till puid it is a motorable road from there you have walk for 1 hour to reach temple.
you should trek too this place in summer as weather is pleasant, in winters and rainy season roads become quite slippery which makes trek quiet difficult.
