Bijoli grill is a quaint little place in Powai that offers warmth and is quite cozy. The staff is somewhat listless, but when the head of the staff comes around they’re much better behaved.
We are fish fanatics and who better than the Bengali’s to try it from. With this expectation we arrived at Bijoli, to try fish in a different preparation. And we were not disappointed. To start with we tried Fish Munia, which were just 2 rolls with a filling of prawns inside. DELICIOUS! Served with mustard sauce, it was perfect.
We followed this up with Bhetki fish in a red curry preparation with Bangal Paratha’s. The parathas were so yumm that we were at one point eating them without any curry. After eating fish at so many places, this has to make it to our TOP 5 list. We followed it up with Malpoa, which sadly, was disappointing.
However, for the price, the quantity offered is quite less. Bijoli is not a fine dine place or anything close to it, so we didn’t expect our bill to ride up to almost 900 for only 2 dishes and some Parathas
