I had the worst "service" experience ever at Bimal, Mahadevapura , Whitefield. I had gone there to get some body work done, including scratches and some painting job. Initial waiting time was little less than acceptable(>15 minutes).
But what took me really by surprise was when they sent a so called "driver" to take the car into the workshop. First, I dont understand what is the need for speed in such a short distance, and if you are doing stunts like that, atleast you need to be a Hamilton or a Schuhmacher. Anyway, so as luck would have it, he bangs the car while parking.
I was quite annoyed and checked the bumper for any signs. On a cursory look, I could not find anything, and I went ahead to request for a quotation on all the work I had asked. A personnel was sent to estimate the cost involved and while assessing the car, found a scratch in the bumper, in the exact same spot where the driver had hit the car. When I complained, they refused to accept that this was done by him. According to him, he had lightly hit the backside of the car. (whatever that means!!).
So, I called for the manager(another great man!) who explained with some strange theories on why they were not responsible for the damage. After considerable argument, I just gave up and stormed out of the place. In foresight, I should have photographed or taken a video of this incident for reporting to Maruti. Something I still regret not having done.
Maruti should seriously consider whether Bimal should even be a authorized service center. Let them stick to selling cars!!
