I have recently brought a wagonar 2004 model, for 2.4 lac odd.there are few good thing and bad things about the car deal which are below mentioned.
1) car would cost you 20k or 30k higher than the market price
what I got :- you would get 2 service free, my first service costed me only Rs.23, where in they changed auto lock, battery and both wipers.so that was ok, as it would have saved 10K to 15K since it came with a warrenty.
2) bargain is not so attractive he may offer 5k or 10k less, so in an around 5% discount max.
what I got:- the guy qouted me 2.4 as sale price, and gave me a discount of 10k after lot of crib. the car had two new tyer, no audio sys. I told him I give you the same 2.4 lac, but I would need all four new tyer, a music system with speaker, and transfer of registartion free.he agreed.
3) any car above 5yr would not come with any finance help or warrenty
so dont buy any thing more than 5yr at true value, you can get better deals in outside market. But if you looking for somone to take responsibilty for intial break down then advise you to buy it from true value but less 5yr old.
4) good option of all models and all price range
I on that day saw close to 30 cars from price range of 1.3 lac(1997 zen) to 6.3 lac, majority being alto, 800.wagonar, swift.
5) do check while buying the car
a) battery condition of car
b) wiper of the car
c) insurance expiry,
d) tyers
Best thing bring a guy from any known maruti service station with you and ask him to check out the vehicle ( which I forgot to do)
And at the end trust on your decision, not any one elses.
