I am a 30 year old woman with sensitive skin. I do not use cosmetics, and avoid chemical based skin care products as much as possible. I make my own scrubs and packs, but when that is not possible, I have learned to trust Biotique products. I noticed that there aren’t many reviews on this brand, so I decided to take this up myself. This will be the first of my reviews on all the Biotique products that I have used.
Let me begin by saying that I do not work for Biotique, they aren’t paying me to do these reviews(they wouldn’t if they saw what I have to say about some of their stuff :D), and I am doing this entirely because I think the brand is serious about what it is upto and their products merit reviews.
Bio Pista is a face pack that will best suit dry or mature skin, especially during winters. I’m holding the bottle right now, but the ingredient list is a long list of fine print that I don’t feel like typing out right now(maybe later), but pista & kesar figure right on top.
I have skin that started out oily, then turned into combination type, and is mostly normal these days tending towards dry in the winter months. I started using this pack for the past month or so, and am very satisfied with it. The bottle says it cna be used daily for 5 - 10 mins, but hey, who’s got the time. I use it for 30 mins about 2 times a week, and see instant results, which is more pronounced and noticable the next day.
Right after first use, I saw an even, smooth apeparance, brightness and freshness. Over 3 - 5 uses now, I see it has evened out my complexion quite a bit, no blotches or spots. I went on to suggest it to two other ladies, and both are very satisfied, and the results are very visible on both of them.
Mind you, when possible, I make a host of stuff from the scratch myself(I’ll add these shortly in a separate section, follow me for tips). This is a convenience only product.
Again, I am not sure if I would use this in summer when my skin gets greasy, but for winter it is great. Summers, I’ll go back to Biotique’s clove oil and wild turmeric pack, my trusted pack for years now, which I’ll review shortly.
So, facts: Rs.180 for 55 g, lasts a dozen uses, light green, slightly fatty, apply a thin but solid coating after washing face, leave for a while 9says 5 - 10 mins, I let it sit for 30), wash. Burns / tingles slightly, this is normal.
If you don’t mind the price, totally go for this one.
