Attention all nature lovers: Sitauated at the foothills of Mussourie, approx 260 kms away from Delhi it is an ideal weekend getaway for all the people who are looking for getting away from the city’s hustlebustle for a short holiday.
One can go by road but let me warn you that the highway is not all that smooth(Delhi- Dehradun), alternativly one can take the Shtabadi which goes twice a week to Dehradun.
From the railway staion it is hardly twenty minutes drive but the staff can arrange to pick you up as the property is not very visiblefrom the highway, niether will you find any prominent board displyaing it’s name. But that is the very reason you will love the place more as it is ideally located not very far from the highway(Mussurie is only half an hour drive from this place) and yet once you are inside the Bird House the only noise you get to hear is that of all those exotic birds chirping away.
If you are the kind who enjoy heavy activies during holidays then this is not the place for you but if you want to detoxify your senses and just want to be with yourself then this the place for you. You can either laze around sipping your morning cuppa in the alfresco settings of the front veranda, reading a book picked up from their well stocked library or simply can get a picnic basket packed from their well stocked kitchen and go for a treck down the valley to the local stream(situated at the back side of the property) and have a nice picnic with your family.The booking is done only from Delhi office, no walkins bookings are entertained.
