For everyone who is interested in sending your son to Bishops:
1) My son was admitted with Rs.0 bribe. My wife and I are both graduates, earn a decent income, and live within 5 kms of the school. My son was admitted without anyone asking for anything from us.
2) The Kindergarten section is separated from the rest of the school, has a goose pond(4 or so geese), a play area, and some parakeets in a walk-in cage.
3) They have introduced the LEGO Educational System(in use for over 15 years in Japan) to help with S.T.E.M development. My son comes back with stories of making elephants, houses, etc with LEGOs every week.
4) The teachers are excellent, helpful, and knowledgeable.
5) They have everything you could ask for: 2 big grounds, 1 small ground, indoor swimming pool, tennis courts, badminton courts, etc. All this is made available to students for coaching classes in the summer.
For those who say you have to get educational coaching from outside: Not every student is good in all subjects and they will need additional coaching on some subjects.
Parents would do good to remember: Teachers are guides and helpers. They instruct the student. How well or how bad a student retains knowledge is NOT a reflection on any teacher.
Schools are places where an environment for learning and child development is created. The student learns from teachers, peers, seniors, facilitators, but more importantly from parents. This school provides the infrastructure for a young boy to grow into a mature young adult with access to good teaching, good sports facilities, good venues for creativity, and as a parent, thats all I can ask for.
