The Good: Fixed Timings (Day Job no Overtime option). No Client Interaction.Moderately Interesting work if you enjoy writing. Most co-workers are A+ people, however notable exceptions prove the rule.Literally 1 minutes walk from Exit 3 of Barakhamba Road Metro Station.Earlier Operated as SIS Infotech, Gurgaon.Decent Starting Salary of 15k (till 2012) for Content Writer.Very few hierarchies in firm everyone is a Content Writer or Senior Content writer.Exclusively hires freshers (experienced people may join at same level with same starting salary).
The Bad: New Delhi (Barakhamba Road) office housed in a building which is 50+ years old. You cannot speak to anyone inside the office unless its work related. You will be asked questions about why you took more than 2 cups of tea (they lock up the cups in the cupboard). Work begins 8:00 am if you are later than 8:04 and 59 seconds, its a late entry. Three late entries over ANY period of time (week or month or year or 2 years) is a half days pay cut. The facility is run with an iron hand and you can be fired within 1 working day if you do not perform according to their "standards" (which vary from person to person depending on how the "management" perceives you).
Average duration of service for an employee is less than 6 months. Cleanliness of the office building as well as office is questionable. Power backup available for computers and lights only, so in case of a power outage, work needs to be done without AC in a ventilation and window-free office. If someone visits from headquarters (about 2 times a year) a few heads always roll. No cab service so if you are late or there is fault with the metro system, your salary with be deducted no exceptions. Last but not the least there is no HR dept. in the company till 2012 (any call you receive would be from a "trainer" or "senior content writer" just confirm that if you dont believe me).
And of course The ugly truth and my advice to the Management:You guys are just interested in making money. You have no respect for employees and your HR policies are suitable for the times of Henry Ford, when all cars were black. I dare not give you any advice because, I would be wasting my time. I greatly doubt whether you can possibly mend your ways, considering how long you have managed to stay in business with an attrition rate of over 80%.
Note: All views I have shared with you are my personal experiences or my observations during the period I was an employee of SIS Infotech/BizAcumen Research till April 2012, Please feel free to disagree with me and of course any comments are always welcome.
