I have been a member for almost a year now but have never written a review. This time I could not stop myself as ’Black’ is something I am very proud of.
I am a die-hard Rani Mukerji fan and have always believed that she is a class apart from the Kareenas, Preitys and whoever else is out there. She can pull off a ’Hum Tum’ as well as ’Yuva’ convincingly. And now she strikes again with ’Black’.
I am not a big fan of Sanjay’s work. But with ’Black’ I have developed respect for this guy who is willing to take chances and lead Indian cinema in a new direction. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and I respect that but I will be really surprised if someone who watched this movie did not like it. I know there will be few people who would go to the theatres to watch this one but I can guarantee everyone who does will come out with a sense of pride and appreciation. This is a serious subject to make a film about but at the same time it is not depressing.
No doubt - A Masterpiece.
