The new wave :-)

After a highly disappointing, oblong overdose of the King Khan in Swades, Page 3 was a total dhamaka! A glamorous, bold, intriguing movie... Page 3 hits u... leaving behind a stirring impact. We can’t run away from it, we can’t hate it, nor can we love it. Madhur Bhandarkar’s ’’Page 3’’ is Mumbai personified.

Atul Kulkarni and Konkona Sen have delivered outstanding performances. Strong performances, indeed, can elevate the success of any strictly-average script! And when we have an amalgamation of good actors and good scripts, we have an Oscar nominee! I’m talking about Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ’Black, ’ which I’m certain will make it to the Hollywood red carpet.

It’s time we bring about a revolution, and start accepting ’’different’’ movies-- I mean...Movies without the usual jhatkas and matkas, movies that dare to deviate from the candyfloss cliche. Its time we learn to appreciate REALITY in Indian cinema, which, by the way, is packaged in a very creative manner for our entertainment-hungry masses.
