I wanted to go to this place from looong time since I was staying near by. Finally, this saturday thought of venturing there with my gf and a cousin who had come by to our place. So, we called up and were told "no entry fee; no reservations needed"; though bit skeptical as how this could happen to pub on Saturday night that too in BLR, we went ahead with our decision.
When we entered the place, there was no body except 3-4 waiters and cricket match going on big screens. There was absolutely no music playing! Place was infact very nice, nice seats/interiors/lighting; So, we 3 took seat and waiter came with menu. Now comes the real story; there is no pitcher available!(what a pub w/o pitcher) Ok here is the menu with very limited choices:
330ml beer 150.00
500ml beer 200.00
Only available brands were carlsberg or KF premium and only 330ml!
So, I told him going by his menu we would atleast drink 10-15 pints(330ml) and that would cost around 2k! and asked him if he can offer discount . Now music/dj started because we were there(3 people); nothing else at 9:30pm(remember pub closes at 11:30 in BLR)
So, now comes manager(later waiter told me he wasn`t real manager). .he says we can only order pints and they dont have any 500ml beer! he sounded very rude! I asked If I can expect minimum apology because he could not serve us what was on the menu and to our surprise he said "I dont need to say sorry because there is no stock and pint is only option you have" . It was like drink whats available or leave.
Anyway, moral of the story is that just dont even consider this option if you are looking for real pubbing experience . This place is only meant for those sad lonely hearts who have nothing left in life . People at this place are rude despite having no customers at all! ha ha . I know place was opened atleast 6 months back; now I know why they dont have customers! Even if you go there, you are sure to get bored because there is only you and waiters around and nobody else!:) Other option could be that you bring your own drinks when you head there . ha ha.
Not to mention we bought full crate of beer upstairs in super marked and partied at home till sun rise(best way to party in BLR)!
