Black and decker is renowned for making quality products, having used several products of their that continue to work and a drill machine thats infact elder than me and still works without need for service.
I decided to buy a 12 cup coffee maker, from the time you unoack it you are bound to be amazed by thw quality of parts used on this product from a nice and thick glass caraffe compared to others that use thin glass, to the quality of the filter basket and tray.
The water level indicator is a major help here, say you want to fill for 6 cups you fill it till the level you desire denoted by cups both large and small there by leading to saving water and also notcausing any wastage of coffee
This gem of a coffee maker performed well for about 18 months and then needed a new heating coil, very well its an electronic things fail. Finding service will be a task as theres very few service centers and lousy at it they took 4 weeks to source the part.
Few months later the water sensor went kaput and yet another 5-6 weeks to get it.
And finally around 2 n 1/2 years time the water pioe got damaged and after spending three months at arvics center and not being able to source a part even though this model is still being sold in the market turned me off completely.
Was pretty shocking as this company is known for good quality products.
Well the product is great if it fails out of warranty you are in a mess
