I’ve been using this phone for almost an year now.Push e-mail service is very useful, but new mails take some time to be delivered to the inbox. My colleague uses a BB bold and the very email sent to him reaches within seconds but it takes 5 to 7 mins to reach my inbox.Looks of the phone is neat but when BB bold is kept beside this, the inferior quality is felt. The screen and the top buttons are a common fibre sheet that reduce the appearance. The phone has got a rubber material running around which has worn out on my phone.
Battery life is 1 day with an usage of 10 to 15 emails, 20 calls, 30 sms and 30 mins of browsing. But the phone goes to low battery before the end of day and I have learnt that a phone should not be used for call when on low battery as the radiation is 10 times more than normal.
When the battery has reached 50 % within no time it would end.Has several menu options which is very convenient and uncommon to other phones.Contacts have several details and multiple options. Track ball is very convenient and responsive. Has no issues also.Memory card has a strange issue.
Some of the files i.e., images, mp3 etc do not open in the gallery and when I remove the memory card and insert it back after few seconds all the files are seen. This would be alright for couple of days and again the files would not open and give and error message ’file error’. I need to remove the memory card and put it back again.
Handsfree does not work fine. When handsfree is plugged in and I get a new call and answer it, the caller cant hear me. I then have to remove the handsfree jack from the socket and insert it back to answer the call. Very inconvenient especially while driving.Word, excel and ppt are very useful. Documents can be edited, comes in handy.BB does not use the regular GPRS connection but needs only BB internet package which is expensive. Sad.Overall a very good phone but has certain hardware jargons which will test your patience at times.
