The story is about adultery being discovered by the husband, role played by Irfan Khan who then secretly blackmails his wife and his lover when the affair is discovered. I went to watch this movie along with my family and was a kind of delight as it is wicked and has a delightful dark humour in it.
A little about the story, Irfan is casted as Dev, who is a toilet paper salesman. This middle class man is victim of his own circumstances. He lives a very submissive life, victom of his hardships and is presented with a dilemna where he is stranded to decide between his passion and resigning to his fate of sad life. So one eveing when he decides to make his marriage and mundane life spicy, he discovers a dark truth of his life about his wife.
His wife seems to be committing adultery and this revealation left him shocked and leads to a series of events that one can say is both funny and outrageous. The movie gives it an amazing good twist. Blackmail very interestingly depicts the common mans daily dilemmas. The first half of the movie we found is a bit slow. But it gains momentum the moment there are others who come to know Devs plan of blackmailing his wife and her lover. the dark humour leaves us in jitters of laughter and an amazing movie to cherish in the evening.
