I really liked The Blair Witch Project, even though it didnt really scare me, I really enjoyed the idea of the movie and was drawn in by all the hype. When I heard of the bigger budget sequel, great thoughts of what a great movie it could be flew through my mind.
If each of those thoughts were birds then they were all shot down by the evil hunters of horrible film making. It seemed that the idea they got for the movie took all of 2 minutes to think up. This movie was destined to fail before it was finished being edited.
The acting in it is decent, but it didnt seem like the actors had much to work on. The fact that this movie had a script went against what the original was all about. This plot (if it can be called that) just winds around, and around until it just becomes one big ball of yarn that takes very little to destroy.
The direction did very little to help the movie, and it seemed that the director simply told the actors to run around screeming. Maybe he hoped that the randomness from this could have produced the sense of fear that the original caused. Instead he got a bunch of noisy chickens running around with their heads chopped off.
If you are thinking of checking this movie out, do yourself a favor and forget about it. Trust that little instinct in your head and go with something else, anything else.
