A courier is not an SMS. We do not use it for timepass. We often send love, emotions and something that could even be a matter of life and death. These courier people got to first understand that.
I wanted to send a gift to my friend in Ahmedabad. I went to the Coimbatore office and gave the parcel on 5 March. Oh, by the way, of the 7 phone numbers listed for Coimbatore, only 1 was answered through the day. Excellent, but then, that was the least of my troubles.
The lady informs me that the parcel will reach on 7 March. On 7th evening, my friend told me he still had not gotten it. I checked the website for the tracking the parcel and it said "No such receiver exists on the given address; contact customer care". WTF! I called the Coimbatore office and the guy had no clue. He got back saying they will try delivering it again the next day. Next day was holi - a holiday. Excellent again!
My friend meanwhile tried calling various numbers in Ahmedabad and finally found that the delivery was sent to the wrong pin code. Frankly, are these people retarded? Even if they lost their way, couldnt they call immediately? Isnt that why we write phone numbers on parcels? Idiots!
I missed the opportunity of having my friend open his parcel on his birthday. Damn. And they said BlueDart was one of the best courier services. I wonder how the rest are. This is what we can expect when we do not have competitive options. Sad.
P.S - Most confusing user interface I have encountered.
