Delivery time: Worst I have ever seen. It takes only 3 days for DTDC to deliver items to my location(delhi to my city). While bluedart always takes 15-18 days(that too I have to pick my item up from their branch, they won’t deliver it to my house, They will return it back to origin if I don’t come to collect it within 20 days from date of shipment. btw my house is just 5 KM from their head office, its not in’no service’ area)
Missing and broken items incidents: yes I was unfortunate enough to suffer both issues with them. My die cast scale model was shattered(i really mean shattered, into 20+ pieces) when delivered(picked up by me at their branch, to be precise).
My dual layer blank DVD set went missing and it was never delivered to me.Poor handling of items: As I have mentioned above, I had to pickup all of my products from their branch since they never deliver it to my location, so I have to visit their branch very often. I have seen them dropping bags(containing parcels) from 1st floor of their building(warehouse) to distribution center at groundfloor. My 23" LCD monitor was also dropped from 1st floor right before my eyes.
It survived this fortunately. Also, Their workers sit and walk over the parcels without caring about damage that might do to the items inside. When I complained about this to their branch manager he said "kabhi sher k bachhe ko dekhe ho? sherni usko gardan(neck) se pakad k uthati hai par marte nahi hain wo. Humare yaha laptop pade rhte hain jameen(floor) pe, hum uspe chhadh k jate hain par kuch nahi tut ta hai".
Staff attitude: They NEVER I really mean never attend calls. In last 3 years, I have called then atleast 70 times. They won’t attend their phones. If I keep bugging them they will just switch off their phone. Why the hell do they provide their contact number on their site if they are not gonna answer it. I have complained this, and they said they don’t attend because they don’t have any time to answer it. Really? wow!
High price: 600gm from my location to delhi= Rs.400, DTDC charges Rs.185/- for the same.
Its my bad luck that all major e-retailers such as flipkart, jabong, ebay etc. use bluedart for shipping. I won’t recommened this courier to anyone.
