I ordered a book(bitsat - arihant publication) on amazon on 08.05.14; the book was supposed to be delivered by 12.05/13.05
On 12.05.14, I got sms & email from amazon that your order is out for delivery and will be delivered by end of day. The order did not arrive and instead another sms & email came that "This is to inform you that delivery of a package from your order, with tracking ID 59217625014, shipped via BLUEDART, might be delayed due to inclement weather conditions."(I am based in lucknow and weather was perfectly fine!)
On 13.05.14, I again got sms & email from amazon that your order is out for delivery and will be delivered by end of day. The order did not arrive and instead another sms & email came that "This is to inform you that delivery of a package from your order, with tracking ID 59217625014, shipped via BLUEDART, might be delayed due to inclement weather conditions."(I am based in Lucknow and the weather was perfectly fine)!
On 14.05.14, I again got sms & email from amazon that your order is out for delivery and will be delivered by end of day. Due to my bad experience I raised issue with amazon and informed them about the issue. Guess what happened.The order still did not arrive and instead another sms that order has been successfully delivered.(though it was not delivered. It was on COD so no possibility of packet being left at my place without my information).
On 15.05.14, I have again raised the issue with amazon, who don’t seem to know what they need to do.
TO ME THE PROBLEM IS NOT THE DELAYED SERVICE THAT THEY HAVE BUT WITH THE WRONG /MISLEADING INFORMATION THAT THEY GIVE. THEIR TRACKING INFORMATION IS PRIMITIVE TO SAY THE LEAST.
